NFL 06 Day 1 Recap


Air McNair led the Ravens to a 27-0 pasting of the Bucs


The first Sunday of the season was full of blowouts, sloppy wins and close calls. Here's a run- down of what went on in Week 1:


TEAMS THAT WERE EMBARRASSED(ALL AT HOME):
- Tampa Bay L 27-0 1st shut out at home in 10 years; offense non-existent
-Carolina L 20-6 another Houdini offense; Super Bowl-hah!
-Green Bay L 26-0 most talented team ever, huh Brett?


TEAMS THAT BARELY ESCAPED:
-New England W 19-17 needed a late safety to beat Bills
-New Orleans W 19-14 almost blew 2 leads; late INT clinched it
-Seattle W 9-6 needed last-sec FG to beat Detroit Nudes


TEAMS THAT T.C.B. (TOOK CARE OF BIZ):
-Philly beat Texans 24-10 in first game post-T.O.
-Jets took care of Titans behind Pennington's 319 yds, 2TDs
-Cincy looked like Bowl contenders in 23-10 pasting of KC

TEAMS THAT ARE SAYING "WHAT HAPPENED?":
- Dallas led early 10-0 but lost it late despite T.O.'s TD
-Kansas City went down 17-3 then QB Green went down -& out
-Denver 10 pts vs. St Louis? 3 INT's by Plummer?- head please!
